Cal 4 Convention

Here it is. Kathy and I left San Jose around noon on friday and headed to Livermore to pick up our passengers, Lorie and Ira. We actually were back on the road before 1 pm and headed to Reno. We arrived in Reno around 5:15 pm and checked into our very nice rooms. More of ED4 members were located and joined up for a nice dinner at Chevy’s. Alot of vendor booths to see and new items to ponder. We went out to the vehicle show, which was located in the parking lot. Again some new ideas came to mind for our rigs after seeing them being used by other owners and having their explaination on the hows and whys of what they had done to make thing work. The four of us then headed off to have lunch and check out part at the big Summit Racing Parts store. In looking at one of the Buy and Sell paper, I located an Early Bronco for sale. Of course I had to call and go check it out. NO I did not buy it. It was good to see Phil, who is one of our members that now lives in the Reno area. We had a little luck both good and bad at the casinos.

A very good dinner at the convention with plenty of food. Lots of information and donations to the CAL4 General, Legal, Foundation, Scholarship funds.

More time spent in the casino and then off to bed on Saturday night.

Sunday morning Ira and Lorie were working the T-Shirt sales booth. Kathy and I visited with people and finally got involved with the sales of the extra thermoses that they had for the convention attendees.

Out to dinner at The Steakhouse in the Grand Sierra Resort, very very good. More donations to the casino and off to bed. Monday morning left reno around 9:00 am and back to reallity.

More to say at the meeting. Those attending, Steve and Claudia, Lorie and Ira, Carol and Ron, John and Lisa, Bill and Joe, Sherry and OIe, Loro and Sierra, Rich, Phil, Joe and Amy, Ava and Dennis, Tim and Jen, and Kathy and myself.
